Record the customer’s acceptance condition before selecting supply, then check the actual proposed lot and delivery date against it. Keep that commercial requirement visible to picking and any substitution review. The test should show that sufficient quantity alone does not authorize shipment when the available stock fails the customer’s agreed remaining-life condition.
Understand the decision
A customer requires a later-life delivery than the earliest available lot can satisfy. Another customer can accept that lot under its own instructions. The review needs to distinguish customer-specific acceptance from general stock rotation and show who approves a different lot or a revised delivery arrangement.
Work through the requirements
- Capture the customer’s approved acceptance condition
- Evaluate the intended lot and delivery date
- Escalate shortages that require a changed promise
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Customer acceptance rule | States the agreed delivery condition |
| Lot selection evidence | Identifies the stock proposed for shipment |
| Exception approval | Explains any revised customer instruction |
What would a passing test show?
Use these hypothetical cases in a demonstration. Mark the evidence you have reviewed, then download the checklist. Selections stay in this tab.
Watch for this failure
An expiry date is not the same as every customer’s acceptance rule. Do not assume that ordinary stock rotation proves contractual suitability, and do not describe a software configuration as independently validating food safety or shelf life.
Continue the evaluation
This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
